RADIO TUNER / PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy explains how HK MobiAura Technology Limited (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use Radio Tuner (listed on the App Store as FM Radio: Music, News & Sports, the “App”) and related services. It applies to the iOS version distributed through the Apple App Store. Contact service@mobiaura.com for privacy enquiries.

This Policy is a description of data handling, not a statement that reading it or using the App constitutes consent to all processing. Activities requiring system permissions, consent or another legal basis must meet the applicable requirements; permission settings do not replace other applicable privacy rights.

2. Identifiers and technical information

The App obtains the iOS identifier for vendor (IDFV), or generates a random UUID if unavailable, and stores it in the Keychain as a user/device identifier for service identification, analytics, attribution and purchase association. It is not a login account you supply and is not the advertising identifier IDFA. Keychain data may remain after you delete the App.

Related service requests also process technical information such as device model, system version, app version, language and region settings and time zone for service delivery, compatibility analysis, configuration and attribution. Network connections also disclose connection information such as IP addresses to receiving servers.

3. Station search, region and streaming

When browsing or searching stations, the App sends request parameters such as search terms, country, language, category, sorting and pagination to station services. Relevant requests may also contain IP-derived country, region and city for discovery, filtering and recommendations. IP-derived region is not precise GPS location.

IP lookup connects to public-IP and IP-region services. The current dependency configuration includes ifconfig.me, icanhazip.com, checkip.amazonaws.com and ip-api.com, using relevant services as requests succeed. These services receive the IP and connection information needed for lookup. Cached IP and region information may be refreshed rather than remaining unchanged indefinitely.

During playback, the App connects to third-party radio streams. Stream providers may receive information such as IP address, request time and requested audio resources. External websites or music-service links are handled by their providers under their own privacy practices.

4. Analytics, configuration and attribution

The App records launch, page visits, playback, favorites, recording actions, purchase flows and other interactions. Events may include a user/device identifier, event code and name, time, page, additional parameters, and app and system versions. The analytics component may store failed events locally and retry transmission when connectivity returns, to understand usage and investigate issues.

The App initializes Firebase Analytics and Firebase Remote Config for usage analysis, screen statistics and remote configuration. These services process data such as app-instance identifiers, device or app information and events according to their SDK behavior. We also set app-version and language-related event parameters.

Apple advertising attribution requests may process attribution tokens and results and send them to our operational services together with the device identifier, device and system information, locale, time zone and IP-derived region, to understand installation sources and purchase association.

5. Recording and song recognition

When recording is enabled, the App captures microphone audio, creates audio files locally and stores recording entries such as title, time, duration and file path. Recordings and entries support playback, list management and sharing you choose. Avoid recording other people’s voices or content you are not entitled to process.

Song recognition also uses microphone input. The current integration passes audio buffers from AVAudioEngine to ShazamKit for matching and involves Apple/Shazam recognition processing. This feature should not be understood as entirely offline or unrelated to the microphone. Results may contain song and artist information, artwork and music-service links, and may be saved to your favorites.

When using system sharing, the recipient or service you choose receives the shared file or content; subsequent handling is governed by that recipient’s or service’s practices.

6. Local preferences and utilities

The App stores station and song favorites, search or listening history, theme, language, playback preferences and other settings on your device to restore your experience. Some interactions also generate the analytics events described above, so local storage does not mean no related information is transmitted.

The magnifier uses camera input for display; the flashlight, alarm and volume enhancement use relevant device functions. These actions may generate usage events. A permission declaration alone does not establish that corresponding images or content are uploaded.

7. Feedback and station suggestions

When you submit feedback, we receive the email address, subject and message you enter. The current feedback screen appends the app version, and the submission is associated with a user identifier. This information supports responses, contact and troubleshooting. Station suggestions or problem reports also involve the relevant content you submit. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive information.

8. Apple purchases and subscription information

Apple processes payment. The App uses purchase and transaction information to verify and restore entitlements. Subscription requests to operational services contain original transaction identifiers, purchase time, user/device identifier, device and system information, app version, locale, time zone, IP-derived region and attribution information. The purchase reporting reviewed does not provide us with your bank card number or security code.

When you request a refund from Apple, Apple handles it under its rules. Purchase handling is also subject to Apple’s applicable privacy practices.

9. Recipients and processing locations

Operational services include station, analytics, attribution, feedback and subscription services, currently configured under fm.mobiaura.com, tomata.mobiaura.com and tomata-event.mobiaura.com. Relevant third parties include Apple/Shazam, Firebase/Google, IP-lookup services and individual station stream hosts. These recipients process information needed for their functions.

Third parties may process information in locations different from your region and under their applicable privacy practices. You may contact us below about recipients and cross-border processing relevant to your data. This Policy does not promise that all data stays on your device or in a particular country. General descriptions in this Policy do not replace safeguards or legal bases required by law.

10. Retention and deletion

Local user data such as favorites, history, settings, recordings and associated entries is stored persistently on your device without a uniform automatic expiry. You may delete relevant entries or adjust settings through available App controls. Caches and analytics retry queues have separate refresh or retry mechanisms, so not all local data is retained indefinitely.

The current recording-list deletion removes the database entry and does not guarantee removal of the corresponding audio file. Deleting an entry, deleting the actual file and clearing exported copies are different actions. Contact us for information or requests concerning the relevant data.

Choosing Delete App in iOS generally removes local data in the App’s sandbox. Offload App, including automatic offloading of unused apps, generally keeps documents and data and is not a method of clearing them. Keychain identifiers, system backups, exported/shared files and copies held by third parties may remain and are not all controlled by those local deletion actions.

Local deletion or deleting the App does not automatically remove information already transmitted to servers. Server-held data requires a separate request and processing procedure. Contact service@mobiaura.com for retention information or to request deletion of feedback, analytics, identifier-associated or purchase-related information. Information required to be retained by applicable law may not be immediately deletable; we will explain relevant handling in response to your request.

11. Permissions, choices and privacy requests

You can manage microphone, camera and tracking permissions in iOS Settings. Refusing or withdrawing permissions may affect the relevant features. The App offers an automatic song-recognition setting; disabling it stops the corresponding recognition listening. Actual system requests and features determine permission use; declarations in configuration files do not mean all corresponding information is necessarily accessed.

The App requests App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission and records events indicating authorization or refusal. Refusing ATT does not disable all service requests, analytics or Apple advertising attribution. The App currently has no single setting to disable all analytics and attribution. Contact service@mobiaura.com to withdraw relevant consent or object; rights and processing bases depend on applicable local law.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of data, restriction or objection, and to complain to a competent regulator. Describe your request and necessary identifying context when contacting us. We may need to verify identity to protect data; do not send passwords, bank card details or unnecessary identity documents. Requests are handled subject to applicable legal requirements.

12. Security and external links

Some operational requests use HTTPS and encrypted request content. However, the current IP-region dependency includes an HTTP address, and security of station and other third-party connections depends on their actual services. We therefore do not promise that all transmissions are encrypted, that data is absolutely secure, or that no disclosure risk exists. Read the relevant providers’ privacy policies when following external links.

13. Children’s privacy

If you are below the age of independent consent under local law, use the App with parental or legal guardian guidance and obtain their consent where required. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information requiring attention may contact service@mobiaura.com. The App Store age rating is not the age of consent under privacy law.

14. This website, policy updates and contact

This product website uses local static resources and embeds no analytics scripts, remote fonts or feedback forms. App Store and email links lead to external services. A hosting provider may process connection and access-log information; this website description does not mean hosting services keep no logs.

We may update this Policy as features, data handling or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be notified through the App or other reasonable means, with separate consent where legally required. For questions about this Policy, data handling or your privacy rights, contact HK MobiAura Technology Limited at service@mobiaura.com.
